Chulu West Peak Climbing

Chulu West Peak Climbing Chulu West (6250m) expedition is the most challenging for climbing and expeditions and will appeal to those looking for a real adventure.Chulu west is the higher Peak than Chulu east.This peak was first ascended in 1952 by a Japanese Expedition group. The base camp of Chulu west peak is situated in a small valley north of Manag, the main trail to the Thorang La.

There is a controversy regarding the name and location of the Chulu Peaks, there are several peaks close by and are also a part of Chulu massif but are not indicated in the is difficult to differentiate between the two Chulus. However, the Chulu group comprises four peaks. Two in the east and two in the west, Chulu west may also be called Chulu Central. There are no technical difficulty in ascending this peak but the progress can be slow as the slopes are vulnerable to avalanches in certain conditions.On the first ascent and several subsequent ascents rope was fixed on the rock band. From the plateau continue up the progressively narrowing ridge to the summit 6,250m.

Day 03:   Drive to besi Sahar 823m.
Day 04: Trek to Nyagdi 830m
Day 05: Trek to Jagat 1520m
Day 06: Trek to Dharapani 2250m
Day 07: Trek to Chame 2713m.
Day 08: Trek to Pisang Village 3185m.
Day 09: Trek to Manang 3350m.
Day 10: Rest day for acclimatize in Manang.
Day 11: Trek to Chulu west Base Camp 4000m. 
Day 12:   Trek to Chulu west high camp 5000m. Aprox.
Day 13: High camp - Summit 6419m. and back Base Camp
Day 14: Trek to Thorong Phedi 4550m.
Day 15: Trek to Thorong Pass 5416m. - Muktinath
Day 16: Trek to Jomsom 2800m.
Day 17: Trek to Kalopani 2530m.
Day 18: Trek to Tatopani 1189m.
Day 19: Trek to Ghorepani 2810m.
Day 20: Trek to Tirkhedunga1545m.
Day 21: Trek to Birethati, Nayapul & drive to Pokhara.
Day 22: Fly to Kathmandu
Day 23: Free Day Kathmandu
Day 24: Transfer to Airport for your onward destination.
